Carbon Reduction

1. Purpose

This policy sets out Invoka Consulting's commitment to environmental responsibility and the reduction of its greenhouse gas emissions, and defines the targets, governance and measures through which this will be achieved between 2026 and 2030.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all of Invoka's operations, including its office premises, business travel, IT and cloud usage, fleet, and procurement activity. It applies across the Company's UK, US and Saudi Arabia operations.

3. Policy Principles

• Sustainable Operations: the Company will conduct its business in an environmentally responsible manner, reducing waste, conserving energy, and minimising its carbon footprint across all operations.
• Resource Efficiency: the Company will optimise energy and resource use across its offices, IT infrastructure and equipment.
• Green Procurement: the Company will favour suppliers and partners with credible environmental commitments, and will incorporate environmental criteria into supplier selection and review.
• Energy Management: the Company will improve energy efficiency across its premises and transition towards lower-carbon energy sources and transport where within its control.
• Employee Engagement: the Company will inform and involve its people in the delivery of this policy, including guidance on travel and commuting.
• Data Integrity: emissions figures and reduction claims will be based on measured data. Where data is not yet available, this will be stated together with a date by which it will be.
• Continuous Improvement: this policy will be reviewed annually and updated to reflect business growth, improved measurement, and regulatory change.

4. Governance and Responsibility

The Director is the owner of this policy and is accountable for its implementation, including any declarations made in connection with public sector procurement. The Approver co-owns delivery of the operational measures set out in Section 6. Operational responsibility for data collection, supplier engagement and travel management sits with the Operations function.

5. Compliance and Reporting

The Company will comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations and will report progress against this policy at each annual review.

6. Carbon Reduction Plan

This section is structured in line with the UK Government's Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP) requirements under Procurement Policy Note 006 (PPN 006, formerly PPN 06/21), supporting the Company's use of this policy in framework and tender submissions.

6.1 Commitment to Net Zero

Invoka Consulting is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1, Scope 2, and the material Scope 3 categories set out below) by 2030.

6.2 Baseline Emissions

The Company's baseline year is calendar year 2026. Reporting periods prior to 2026 are superseded by this policy.

Baseline emissions in tonnes of CO₂e will be published by Q1 2027.

6.4 Carbon Reduction Measures

In place:

• Fleet vehicles are electric.
• Core business systems and infrastructure are cloud-based.
• Travel is assessed against necessity.

2026–2027:

• Establish formal data collection for energy, travel, waste and fleet across all categories in Section 6.2.
• Engage building management on energy supply, efficiency measures and consumption data for office premises.
• Introduce a UK travel policy prioritising rail over air for journeys below a defined threshold.
• Conduct an annual employee commuting survey.
• Introduce environmental criteria into supplier onboarding for new suppliers above a defined spend threshold, and review existing suppliers by spend against the same criteria.

2028–2030:

• Apply an electric/hybrid-first standard to all future fleet purchases and replacements.
• Establish a supplier engagement programme for the Company's largest suppliers by spend.
• Contract verified offset or removal projects for residual emissions ahead of the 2030 target date.

6.5 Declaration and Sign-Off

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board / senior management of the organisation.

7. Wider Environmental Commitments

• Green Procurement: environmental criteria incorporated into supplier selection and onboarding by end of 2027.
• Waste Management: minimise paper use; recycle office waste through building facilities; no new physical infrastructure investment without an environmental review.
• Employee Engagement: this policy will be issued to all employees and reissued at each annual review.

8. Publication

This policy, and the Carbon Reduction Plan at Section 6, will be published on the Company website and updated on completion of the 2026 baseline reporting period.

9. Review

This policy will be reviewed annually. Targets in Section 6.3 will be converted to quantified figures on publication of the 2026 baseline.
